Thrive With Less public premiere on June 16!
Thrive With Less is officially here.
What does it look like to pursue a life of moderation in an excess driven culture? And what will you discover when the excess is replaced with just the essentials? Six students seek out lives of moderation in an effort to pursue their passions and embrace community.
Film to be released May 30, 2012.
The trailer for the documentary I’ve been working on all year. Check it out, spread the word!
Pleasure in the Process: Gretal Geist-Rutledge
This is my completed story about Gretal Geist-Rutledge, a printmaker and fabric artist based in East Lansing, MI. Geist-Rutledge is retired, and because of that, she said she truly gets to enjoy the work she produces, rather than having to stress over whether or not it is successful. I think that’s a great thing to remember for anyone that produces art.
Matt and Josh partner up to talk about where we are in the production process. We’ve got a lot of exciting things coming up in the next few weeks! The current exciting news is that we’ll be releasing our trailer this coming Thursday at noon :)
Another new blog for Thrive With Less. Lots of cool stuff on the way - a trailer on Thursday and a completed film at the end of the month!
So I found a print of this picture when I was cleaning out my room on Thursday. It’s old, but I’m still pretty darn happy with it.
Semester is finally over, and I’m looking forward to this summer and hopefully continuing to work on some very cool projects. I’ll be finishing up and releasing Thrive With Less, starting my next film, shooting at least one wedding, and hopefully all kinds of other fun stuff along the way. Stay tuned!
I’m wrapping up a photo story I’ve been working on about Gretel Geist-Rutledge, a local fabric artist and printmaker. For her, art is all about the sheer pleasure of creating. She doesn’t stress herself about it, and she doesn’t do it for a living, it’s just something she is passionate about. I think that’s something any artist can learn from.
